Micro school is exactly what it implies: it is a small school with the number of students ranging between 10 to 150. Micro-schools vary in the type-setting and curricula but all benefit from close community of students and lasting relationships. The signature of Wellbright micro-schools is life readiness which focuses on teaching life skills and providing vocational education.

Every two months, we provide a detailed performance report. This includes a summary of your child’s achievements, an overview of their portfolios with reflections on learned material, photos of projects, self and peer assessments, and test scores with a focus on math and reading proficiency. We report growth percentages rather than traditional grades to encourage students to reach their personal best.

While we don’t specialize in working with children with special needs, we are committed to creating a supportive learning environment for every child. Our flexible classroom culture allows students to move freely—whether walking, sitting on cushions, or standing. We emphasize trust and respect for individuality, allowing students the autonomy to get snacks or use the restroom without needing permission. Additionally, our daily schedule includes activities designed to enhance self-regulation, along with ample opportunities for physical and social engagement.

While we are not specifically trained to support children with serious learning disabilities, we are open to discussing potential accommodations. Please contact us to schedule a call to explore how we might assist your child.

We limit screen time to 60-90 minutes per day for younger students and up to 120 minutes for older students. Phones are not permitted during school hours, but parents and grandparents can contact the school office directly in case of an emergency or urgent message.

There is no formal dress code at Wellbright. We recommend that students dress appropriately for the weather and comfortably for daily outdoor activities and physical education.

Students should bring a laptop or tablet, headphones, and a packed lunch. Basic supplies like paper, pencils, and pens are provided by the school. We will notify you about any special materials needed for projects.

We encourage parents to engage in regular, meaningful conversations with their children about their successes and challenges. Ensuring your child packs their lunch daily is also helpful. Additionally, we value parental feedback and ideas; every two weeks, we send out a survey to gather your insights and suggestions.

Life skills are an essential part of our curriculum, even for our youngest students. For 6-8-year-olds, we focus on self-care skills like dressing, eating, and personal hygiene. We also teach communication skills, including effective listening, clear expression of thoughts, and respectful interruption. Basic safety knowledge, both at home and outside, is another key component for this age group.
